Camp Connection Inc
We make The One App — software that runs a whole camp.
Not a registration system with add-ons bolted to it. One system that holds the bookings, the registrations, the money, the beds, the meals, the work orders, the store and the donors — so the numbers in one department are the numbers in all of them.
What it holds
Each of these is normally a separate purchase, a separate login and a separate export. Here they are one record set, which is why a change in one of them is already true in the rest.
- It is on the web, on iPhone and on Android, and the phone is a first-class surface rather than a cut-down view of the desktop.
- Every person builds their own screen out of Gizmos, because nobody at camp does one job.
- It runs on Amazon Web Services. Patent pending.
Who we are
Camp people, not a software company that found camping
Camp Connection Inc was founded by people with decades in Christian camping. The One App was designed around the way a camp actually runs a week — arrivals, meals, beds, work orders, money — rather than around the way a database would prefer to store it.
Three years of building, and about sixty camp directors
Before a line of the current product was written we had roughly sixty conversations with camp leaders about what their existing systems could not do. Eight Retreat Centers then ran the beta on real guests and real money.
Real Retreat Centers run on it today
Not a pilot. Live camps take bookings, register families, collect payments, feed people and pay out through The One App every day, and our support line is answered by the people who build it.
We will tell you if we are not right for you
Some camps are better served by what they already have. A half-hour call that ends in "this is not for you" is a good outcome for both of us, and it happens.
On the record
Forest Glen Camp and Retreats in Huntsville, Texas — a 700-bed camp — moved from eight software platforms toward two.
Taylor Belt, Director of Retreats, speaking on camera. Watch the full conversation. The founders also told the story of how The One App came about on episode 22 of the Grow Your Camp podcast — our channel carries that and the product walkthroughs, filmed on the real app rather than on a slide.
Why you are reading this on theoneapp.net
If you arrived here because you had an email from us, this paragraph is the one you wanted.
Camp Connection Inc keeps its sales correspondence on domains of its own — theoneapp.net and oneappcamp.com — separately from the mail our existing clients depend on at theoneapp.camp. Both of those domains belong to us, both are published with full email authentication, and the product itself lives at theoneapp.camp. We do this so that the mail a camp relies on never shares a reputation with the mail we send to someone who has not heard of us yet.
If something that claims to be from us looks wrong, the fastest way to settle it is to call the number at the top of this page. It is answered by us.
